Patrol Requirements

A.E.M.B.A. Patrollers are preferred to be registered as National Mountain Bike Patrollers through I.M.B.A..  A.E.M.B.A does offer training workshops for you to work in that direction and will help you along the way. Prior to becoming a patroller, we recommend that you participate in Trail Days and ride along with a Patroller. Below are the I.M.B.A requirements for becoming a Patroller. A.E.M.B.A has a Patroller Membership of $10 for National Mt. Bike Patrollers and $30 for Non-NMBP Members. Both include A.E.M.B.A Regular Memberships.

 

National Mountain Bike Patrollers are expected to perform a multitude of tasks out on the trail. Whether it's giving directions to lost hikers, repairing a broken chain, or aiding an injured person, patrollers need to continually sharpen their skills in order to be effective.
